Sketch made my me and gifted to my virtual daughter Mira

This is the sketch I had drawn last year and gifted to my dear friend cum virtual daughter Mira who has inspired me to start blogging here again. With her inspiration I have come here to daily post something. She also helped me in changing the face of my blog. Thanks Mira dear , my hugs and kisses to you. 

Mehndi put by my niece's daughters during marriage

This Mehndi was put by my dh's  niece's daughter when her periamma's daughter was getting married. The marriage was in Pune. My dh's sister has two daughters and one son. The niece's daughters and her brother's daughter are very close. After a long time I had put mehndi in my hands.

Niece's daughters and her brother's daughter were telling me , aunty on your 50th Wedding Anniversary we will dress you up as a bride. Whether it willhappen or not I was very happy to hear them say that and felt as if I was already celebrating 50th Wedding Anniversary. Its the love that counts and the love they have for me.

The bond between mother and child

Myself and my husband had gone to Dubai in March to my daughter's house and were there for a month. I had the opportunity to meet my Indusladies site friends also. It was nice of my son in law to take us to all my friend's house and one or two places my daughter took me. Since my grand daughter is also there we enjoyed a lot. Had the opportunity to visit the different places also in Dubai.

On New Year's day one of my Indus Site friend Vijaya had come with her daughter Sandhya. Both are very friendly and loving and we did not feel that we are meeting for the first time. Sandhya was all the time taking photos of my granddaughter , Gopika. One of the photos is this one which I liked it very much. . It has come out natural and shows the bond between a mother and daughter. When I see this photo it reminds me of Goddess Mary with a child, Yashoda with Krishna. Such a beautiful photo it is and has come natural.

They were happy that they could take our blessings on New year's day. They had come with thambulam, lot of jasmine flowers, plantain, haldi , kumkum, a gold plated tray for me, Shiva idol with stones for my daughter and a cute bag which Gopika is holding and so pleased with the gift given by them. I wanted them to have lunch at our place but they only had payasam. Here is the tray given by them .

For a mother her son is always a child

A mother treats her son as a child only though he grows up by age and also holds a super post in his Company. Everytime when she advises him , he says mama I am grown up and I know these things. But still she advises him even if he shouts her.

She has no patience for somethings. For others he might be a Director, but for her he is always a kid. She knows that he has grown up and will take care of himself but still she does not leave him. Till he is married he also listens to what all his mother says and knows that his success is due to her only. But after marriage he does not know whom to listen whether to his wife or to his mother.

So mothers should not disturb them in their married life. They are lucky if they get a good daughter in law who respects her and takes her mother in law's advise in everything. The mother also feels happy and does anything for her son and daughter in law.

True care  will never be recognised easily. Those who are cared never value it at many times, but they will definitely understand it when they start missing it.

Life is like a Novel

Life is like a Novel which is filled with suspense.  We have no idea what is going to happen until we turn the pages. We have to keep turning the pages and enjoy our life. God has given one more day to perform.

I have enjoyed each stage of my life. When I turn the page and come to Childhood days think of the days I  enjoyed with good and best friends. Played all sorts of games , had many friends. Friends and family made my childhood memorable.

Next came teenage. Grew up more by height and also learnt so many things. Was no more a child but still since I had elder brothers and sister I was treated as a kid only. In my family my grandmother used to stay she is still a kid and used to fulfill all my wishes. Miss my granny now.

Oh the time came to marry. But after marriage no more a kid was the eldest daughter in law so had many responsiblities. Though I was young at heart but as aresponsbile daughter in law had to take care of everything. Got respect from all the youngsters.

Was glad that I could perform my duties as a daughter in law well and got appreciation from the elders. Had the opportunity to do kanyadanam not only for my daughters but also for my dh's niece, to perform vradham for my dh's nephew, recently as my dh's niece's would be son in law's relatives were not there we were asked to sit as his parents during the engagement.

Now as a Senior Citizens glad that I get respect from everyone and get the opportunity to guide others in functions and also take part in the functions. Hope life continues like this till the end
