Archana to Saibaba

Every Thursday I do Archana to Saibaba and get his blessings. Today I thought let me share the Archana done by me with you all. Also we have Saibaba temple where I stay and every Thursday I go there. Two weeks back Baba was looking very divine with Salwai. So I thought of sharing that also with you all. The archana which I did to Saibaba is the one given by Soldier recently when I met her in Kantha's house. May Saibaba bless all of you and fulfill all your wishes

Crispy Adai my own recipie

Few days back I made adai which came out crispy and thin. The recipie is this:

1 glass of Rice
2 spoons each of urad dal, chana dal, tur dal and you can also add moongdal
Red chillies according to your taste
Hing Powder
Kadi patha
salt to taste

Grind the above very fine just as you grind for dosa. The batter should not be very thick . While making adai I made it with butter instead of til oil. The adai came out crispy. The usual adai we make usually people make it thick.

“Age is…wisdom, if one has lived one’s life properly.” Miriam Makeba

Some people, no matter how old they get, never lose their beauty - they merely move it from their faces into their hearts. ~Martin Buxbaum

After retirement we feel life is going to be a bore. We start thinking that there is nothing worth living for. We should think always young, plan a future and look forward to a happy year. We have to try to forget ourself . Everyday we can keep ourselves busy by doing a favour to someone and it will work. Take up any work then life can be wonderful and thrilling.

We should feel we are always young and live that way and be gentle. God has given us a life which we should make it worthliving. I know I am growing older each day but my heart remains in the size and shape of a child that I amstill learning every day. If we keep ourselves busy helping others life becomes worthwhile and meaningful. No matter how old we are life can change when we share a smile, give a hug to show that we care, say some comforting kind words to someone who badly need, always extending a helpin ghand.

It gives you that happy feeling of starting your life anew,
But like any other business, it requires time and attention too!
So be in the business of staying young, and the heights of joy you will reach,
Make staying young your new career, and practice what you preach.
Age can be a frightening thing, if you let yourself fear it…
You can’t help being up in years, but needn’t be down in spirit.
Take pride in your appearance, always look up to par,
It’s a way of making others forget just how old you are.
I know I’m not indestructible, time is taking it’s toll,
But I have a goal to reach, and I know I’m not too old.
So get busy and be useful each day of your life on this earth
With your talents and your efforts, find a way to prove your worth.

God will keep us strong and healthy, if in His hands we place our life,
We’re living in a world that needs us, though it’s filled with envy, sin and strife.
Let’s help make it a better place, so all can plainly see,
That each hour we spend here, is part of our eternity.
-Author unknown

Days are passing so fast but we can keep in memory the happy moments left behind. We shoudl do the best we can everyday. We should see the good in all that comes are way and be content with what we have at the end of the day. Then we feel rich in happiness while staying young at heart.

You are as young as your faith, as old as your doubt; as young as your self-confidence, as old as your fear; as young as your hope, as old as your despair.

Building blocks of a relationship

Marraiges are made in heaven but we have to try and make it WORK here.

Remember the three "F"s in a successful marriage.
"F"riendship
"F"reedom
"F"orgiveness
You are each others "F"riend, give each other "F"reedom and "F"orgive each other at times.

Never expect too much from any relationship if you want it to work. If you give more then you expect you will always be happy.

Much has written about couples made for each other and being opposites but attract each other. Now let me write about my best half. He is no doubt a gem of a person but sometimes if I say yes to something he will say no. In somethings he does not like to listen to me. I think he thinks that if he listens to everything I say then I might sit on his head.

In some things we are east and west but I always give up so thats why we have been together since 39 years , next year we will be completing 40 years of married life. Whenever we are going out I only choose his dress, usually he wears dhoti and shirt or kurta only for any functions. In that he listens to me. Today he was wearing the dhoti on the wrong side, when I told him he was not listening to me first then somehow listened to me and wore it on the right side. He does not like watching Hindi Channels much whereas I like to watch.

I am lucky that he comes with me to visit my friends and that is why I could meet so many ILites from different places. He is very simple but at the same time he is strict also and for him ellu na ennaiya irukkanam, means whenever he says to do something should be done immediately.

“Life without love is like a tree without blossoms or fruit.”
“Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself. To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving.”
~Kahlil Gibran on love
